Sewer rehab causes traffic shifts, slowing along Craycroft Road

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Construction continues on a portion of Craycroft Road on the north side, as Pima County crews work on a sewer rehabilitation project.

On Wednesday, the contractor will begin paving all school driveways impacted by roadwork, along the west side of Craycroft Road, between River Road and Fort Lowell Road.

During this time, traffic on the southbound side of Craycroft Road, between the south end of the bridge through the Gregory School traffic signal, will be shifted to the left lane. After workers complete the paving work, they'll remove all barricades.

On Monday, July 13, the contractor will start a coating process on the manhole located north of the bridge on Craycroft Road near River Road. This work will take place overnight, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

To accommodate this manhole coating, traffic along southbound Craycroft Road will shift to the right lane between The Gregory School and River Road. The center turn lane will close here as well.

Work should wrap up completely by Thursday, July 16.
