Indianapolis, IN (KOLD) - The boys are back together. Former Wildcat teammates Chase Budinger and Jordan Hill have rejoined forces in Indiana. Hill signed with the Pacers as an unrestricted free agent after four seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. Budinger came over in a trade with Minnesota.
Budinger and Hill helped bridge the cap between Lute Olson and Sean Miller, playing for both interim coaches Kevin O'Neill and Russ Pennell. Under Pennell, the duo, along with Nic Wise, helped lead Arizona to the 2009 Sweet 16. Both declared for the draft. Hill went 8th overall to the Knicks (one spot after Steph Curry). Budinger fell to the second round, 44th overall by Detroit before being traded to Houston.
Hill eventually joined Budinger with Rockets after spending less then a blink of an eye in New York. Hill was then traded to the Lakers during the 2011 season. The next season Budinger became a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves where he teamed up with another former Wildcat Derrick Williams. Over the past weekend, The T-Wolves traded Budinger to Indiana in exchange for Damjan Rudez.
