Left turns restricted on south side

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Road restrictions begin next week on a portion of the south side, while Arizona Department of Transportation crews relocate utilities in the area.

Left turns will not be allowed from Camino Verde onto Ajo Way beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, according to an ADOT press release. These restrictions will stay in place around the clock until the project is complete. Those making right turns will not be impacted.

ADOT said to always drive slowly and carefully through all construction zones. Watch out for construction workers and equipment as you head through.

Under the program, the city will choose several large intersections to become protected left. That means left turns would be made only on a green arrow.
