TSPL in 12th summer of hoop hysteria

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The 12th run of the Tucson Summer Pro League is coming to an end.

The league playoffs will be held August 1 and 2 at St. Gregory Prep.

The semifinals will be played on Saturday with the Championship game on Sunday.

Sunday will also feature the annual Three-Point Shootout, the All-Star Game and the Slam Dunk Contest.

Local hoopsters can also sign up now for the 1st Veterans Basketball Academy three-on-three indoor tournament which will be held at the Sporting Chance Center on Saturday August 8 in conjunction with the second tryout for the Tucson Buckets ABA team.

The Buckets will begin their first season of play this fall at the Tucson Convention Center.
