FC Tucson represents on All Conference team

TAMPA, Fla. – The PDL announced its 2015 All-Conference Teams on Monday, with eight players set to compete at this weekend’s 2015 PDL Championship presented by Nike among the 44 players honored for their performances this season. The 2015 PDL All-Conference Teams were selected through a vote of team management.

Central Conference champion K-W United FC leads the way with three selections, led by creative midfielder Sergio Camargo. The Coastal Carolina standout had eight goals and five assists for the side in the regular season, while fellow selection Ben Polk earned one of three forward positions after finishing the regular season with nine goals and two assists. Defender Oyvind Alseth was also selected after a standout season at the back, which was complemented by four goals and five assists offensively.

The Ocala Stampede earned two selections to the All-Southern Conference, as midfielder Lewis Hilton was named for a second consecutive season. Hilton had four goals and three assists as he helped the Stampede claim their fourth consecutive division title, while defender Paco Craig was also named after leading Ocala in minutes played as he provided a consistent presence at the back.

Sounders FC U23 also earned a pair of selections, as defender Jonathan Campbell and forward Guillermo Delgado were both named. Campbell helped the Sounders U23 concede only 10 goals in 12 regular-season contests, while Delgado led the side’s attack with five goals and one assist in the regular season.

The New York Red Bulls U23’s Timothy Schmoll is his club’s lone representative on the All-Eastern Conference team, as the club had a remarkable first season in the PDL with not only a Mid Atlantic Division title, but also the Eastern Conference championship.

Ocala’s Hilton is one of six players to earn All-Conference selection for a second consecutive season. He is joined by Springfield Synergy FC’s Yuta Nomura, the Kitsap Pumas’ Cory Keitz, the Jersey Express’ Kouassi Sylvain N’guessan, WSA Winnipeg’s Moses Danto, the Seacoast United Phantoms’ Anthony Grant, and Midland/Odessa Sockers FC’s Walker Hume.

The 2015 PDL All-League Team is set to be announced on Tuesday, with the finalists for the 2015 PDL Awards to be announced on Wednesday. The award winners will be announced at Thursday’s Championship Luncheon, part of the 2015 PDL Championship in Seattle, Wash.

Both semifinals and the championship game at the 2015 PDL Championship presented by Nike will be streamed live on the PDL’s YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/USLPDL), with live updates also available through the league’s official Twitter account (@USLPDL).
