Basham rules the end of TQMA's Summer Series

MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) - On a night where extreme temperatures kept the car count down, Londyn Basham emerged as the star of the Tucson Quarter Midget Associations final run of their Summer Series.

The ten-year old won both the Senior Honda and Light 160 class races.

She showed a nice skill at passing on two early occasions to take control of the Senior Honda race. Basham dove inside to gain the advantage on Jenn Hall and never gave it up.

Kaiden Clark won the Junior Honda race but had multiple spin outs in the Light 160 and finished third.

Gracie O'Brien and Quinn Davis were the rookie class winners.

The next race on September 12 is a non-points warm up for the start of the regular season which begins on Septemeber 26.
