TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Diamondbacks' Paul Goldschmidt is still in the hunt for the club's first 30 home run/30 stolen base season but it's going to take some work.
The All-Star first baseman is sitting at 25 home runs and 20 stolen bases this season.
He's played in all but one of the Diamondbacks 127 games and right now is projecting to play in 161 of the club's 162 games. That won't happen though as Goldschmidt is expected to miss a number of games at any moment due to the pending birth of his first child.
Right now he's on pace to hit 32 home runs and steal 26 bases.
Even if he doesn't reach the 30/30 club, his 20 steals are a career-high and he's the sixth member of the Diamondbacks 20/20 Club and first since Chris Young and Justin Upton both accomplished the feat in 2011.
