Cats to Host Arizona Fall Invitational

TUCSON – Hillenbrand Stadium will be the site of 15 games this weekend as Arizona hosts the annual Fall Invitational, Friday, Oct. 30 to Sunday, Nov. 1.

The Wildcats will welcome Pima College, Central Arizona, Arizona Western, Mt. SAC and Cypress to Tucson for the event.

UA will play five games as a part of the invitational, beginning on Friday vs. Arizona Western at 6 p.m. MST. The Cats then face doubleheaders each of the next two days beginning at 4 and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The complete schedule is listed below.

This will be the third event of the fall season for the Wildcats, who defeated Eastern Arizona 27-2 in a 10-inning game last Thursday and hosted the Alumni Game on Sunday, helping celebrate 30 years at Arizona for head coach Mike Candrea.

All fall contests are free of charge with open seating. Parking in the lots surrounding Hillenbrand Stadium will be free of charge on Saturday and Sunday as well as Friday after 4 p.m. MST. Paid parking will be available in Cherry or 2nd Street Garage during the day on Friday.
