Free Harvest Heritage Festival at Steam Pump Ranch

ORO VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Join the Town of Oro Valley on Saturday, November 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Harvest Heritage Festival at Steam Pump Ranch.

This free, family-friendly event includes live music, cultural and culinary demonstrations, a petting zoo, and kids’ crafts. Steam Pump Ranch is located at 10901 N. Oracle Road in Oro Valley.
 
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
 
Morning performances: (9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)

  • Ballet Folklorico la Paloma / Danza Cultura Mexicana
  • Lauren Lawson, acoustic guitar and vocals
  • Colonial Spanish Horse presentation by Deb Wolfe
  • Bill Ganz Western Band
  • Country Western Dance Demo by Steps Dance Company and Jen Holthous
  • Cowboy at Heart: David Rychener

Afternoon Performances: (12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.)

  • Spotlight Youth Theatre
  • Rolling Hills Horse Academy

Ongoing activities: 

  • Canyon Del Oro High School Drama Team and members of the Oro Valley Historical Society: storytelling and performing vignettes
  • Artisan and craft vendors
  • Rockin' Star Ranch Pony Ring and Petting Zoo
  • Southern Arizona Arts Guild (SAAG) Juried Art Show in the Pusch House
  • Fire cooking demo with Chef Robert from The Overlook restaurant
  • Archaeology Southwest hands-on demonstrations and activities
  • Heritage Garden display
  • BASIS School Garden Club: new plantings in the garden
  • Children's art and culture activities
  • Antique car display
  • Self-guided tours of the ranch property
  • Coffee and chili roasting

Food will be available for purchase at the food trucks or the Heirloom Farmers Market.
