ORO VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Pusch Ridge wasn’t ready to leave this 2015 season.

Down 10-7 with 20 seconds left, senior quarterback Cody Cropp threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to his favorite target Ben Walker, who grabbed the ball as it was being deflected and the Lions ended River Valley’s run at a second straight Division IV state championship with a 13-10 win.

The game was still in doubt until after the final whistle. The Dust Devils had two untimed downs, the result of Lions penalties.

After the second penalty, which put River Valley in field goal range, the Dust Devils opted to go for the tie.

But Bryson Fohs 45-yard attempt was blocked by Walker to end the game.

PRCA (11-1) is in the state semifinals for the first time in school history.

The Lions will play 7th seed Lake Havasu (11-1) at Arcadia High School next Saturday at 2 p.m. The Knights upset 2nd seeded Show Low 34-27.

The 11 wins is the most in school history for Pusch Ridge.

Edwin Lovett caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Cropp.
