Casa Grande Ruins presents Navajo beadwork artist

PIMA COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Vida Yazzie-Hatathlie will present her work at the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument during a special event on Nov. 21 and 22. 

The event will take place at the Casa Grande Ruins NM visitor center atrium from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is no additional fee for this presentation, just the usual park entrance fees.  

Yazzie-Hatathlie will demonstrate natural stone and seed beadwork during the day, and her work will also be available for purchase by visitors.  She lives in Coalmine Mesa and is a member of the Navajo Nation in Arizona and has been beading for 28 years. 

Casa Grande Ruins National Monument is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
