TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Winterhaven Festival of Lights wrapped up its 66th season with a drive thru night.
Residents said the drive thru nights are generally one of their busiest nights. The line to get into the neighborhood stretched for miles along Fort Lowell road, leaving many people simply parking their car and walking through.
"It's just really cold outside so we wanted to stay in our car but that just kind of got trumped when there a bazillion people here. So we just decided to walk. We just drove past the line we didn't even get in it. It was too bad. We're not going to do that," said Samantha Baughman, a Tucson resident.
Many stuck out of the traffic and enjoying the lights from their warm cars. Debbie Bowels, a Tucson resident said the wait to get into Winterhaven wasn't too long and said she thinks she made the right decision, given how cold it is outside.
"I have my seat warmers on so I'm nice and warm," Bowels said.
