Fugitive sex offender extradited to US from Mexico

SOUTHERN, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A convicted sex offender wanted in Maricopa County has been extradited from Mexico, federal authorities said Wednesday.

Lance Cody Wallis, 43, was turned over to the U.S. Tuesday night at Port of Lukeville. He is wanted in Maricopa for failure to appear and $20,000 bound.

Wallis was convicted of sexual assault in 1993 and served a 10-year sentence. He was also arrested in February 2014 on theft and fraud charges.
