TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Dominator is back Sunday night in Boston.

The question? Is he still championship-worthy?

Dominick Cruz (20-1) will fight for the UFC Bantamweight title at UFC Boston Fight Night 81 against reigning champion T.J. Dillashaw (13-2).

It’s his first title bout since he vacated the belt two years ago due to ongoing injuries.

It’s been a long road back for the 2003 Flowing Wells High School grad who has fought just once since a successful defense of his title against Demetrious Johnson back in October 2011.

Cruz, who was born in San Diego but raised in Tucson, made a triumphant return in September 2014 making quick work of #5 ranked challenger Takeya Mizugaki.

Now he gets a shot to win back his belt against Dillashaw who has won four fights in a row and is making his 4th defense since winning the bantamweight title with a TKO of Renan Barao in May 2014.

The fight will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1 beginning at 8 p.m. Tucson time. There are two undercards scheduled before the main event.
