A Player's Program: Stanford preview

TUCSON, AZ -

The No. 12 Arizona Wildcats are heading back to California for the third time this season when they travel for a pair of conference road games at Stanford and Cal. 

UA spent the Thanksgiving break in Anaheim for the Wooden Legacy and returned to Los Angeles two weeks ago for games at USC and UCLA. 

The Wildcats will start the week of at Stanford on Thursday, Jan. 21 at 9 p.m. (MST) on the Pac-12 Networks.

The Wildcats own three of the four longest active winning streaks in head-to-head meetings among Pac-12 schools. The longest of those streaks is Arizona’s 11 consecutive wins versus Stanford. UA has also won nine straight games against Utah and Washington State.

Point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright has taken on the role of distributor in the last handful of games for the Wildcats. The sophomore tallied 18 assists to 3 turnovers last week against the Washington schools.

The Arizona Wildcats are continuing their domination of the glass this season. As of Tuesday, UA still ranked first in the nation in KenPom’s defensive rebounding percentage at 79.2 percent. Sean Miller’s team has ranked in the top three in the nation in this metric the entire season.
