TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The quarter horses will be back at the track this weekend, racing at Rillito Park Race Track.

This year, things are a little different for the owners and horses. Due to the recent equine herpes outbreak, management is following a strict protocol.

According to track management, a farm has been rented out close to the track, where each horse will have to go to be checked out by a vet.

Owners will also have to show health certificates before their horses are allowed on the track.
