I-10 slowing expected Sunday because of overhead utility work

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Drivers on Tucson's northwest side can expect some interstate slowing this weekend, as Arizona Department of Transportation performs overhead utility work on Sunday, Feb. 14.

Eastbound I-10 will see intermittent lane closures between Ina and Orange Grove roads from 7 a.m. to noon, according to a news release.

Drivers should expect more travel time heading towards Downtown Tucson from Marana.

Shoulder work will continue along the highway from noon to 5 p.m., but this shouldn't affect traffic, according to ADOT officials.
