TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Hannah Osland’s rebound goal off the mitts of Salpointe Catholic goal keeper Madison Hargis in the 36th minute stood up for the final 44 minutes and Scottsdale Notre Dame Prep (20-2-2) won their second consecutive Division II state girls soccer championship with a 1-0 win over the Lancers.

Salpointe Catholic (23-2) entered the final match as the tournament’s top seed.

The lone state soccer champion from Tucson this season is the Pueblo High Boys.

The Warriors beat Buckeye Union 2-1 at Williams Field High School in Gilbert to win the school’s first state title in Boys Soccer. Efren Robles and Rafael Torres scored goals for PMHS.

Pueblo outscored opponents 17-3 in winning four post-season matches. They finished the season with 12 straight victories.

The Palo Verde and Tanque Verde Girls teams fell in their respective state championship matches.

The Titans were upset by lower-seeded Fountain Hills 4-2. The Hawks lost to Anthem Prep 3-1.
