BOYS: Sunnyside rolls into quarterfinals

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Sunnyside is going back to Gila River Arena.

The 6th-seed Blue Devils got 23 points from senior forward Jacob Inclan and beat visiting Chandler Seton Catholic 68-55 Saturday night in a Division II 2nd round game in Tucson.

Sunnyside (23-5) will next face Peoria Sunrise Mountain. The Mustangs upset #3 Glendale Apollo 48-47.

Mikey Silva scored 17 points and Carlos Lozoya added 13 for the Blue Devils who took control of the game with a 17-3 first half run.

Sunnyside last season lost in the quarterfinals to top-seed Shadow Mountain 67-45.

Elsewhere, #21 seed Nogales continued their upset run by taking down defending champion and 5th-seed Gilbert Christian 60-57.

Catalina Foothills also advanced to the quarterfinals with a road win. The Falcons went up to Scottsdale and beat Saguaro 49-47.
