A solar eclipse occurred very early Thursday morning. The reason you missed it is because you had to be in space; orbiting the Earth.
www.spaceweather.com reports it is now eclipse season for NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) orbiting our planet.
Twice a year, around the equinoxes, the SDO has daily eclipses lasting about 3 weeks when the Earth passes between it and the sun. The eclipses occur around midnight MST.
