Carey cares about Tucson

ORO VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

He’s back and he’s bringing the NFL game with him.

Tucson’s Ka’deem Carey returned to the Old Pueblo this week to conduct his first youth football camp.

The two-day event drew a capacity 300 players to Carey’s Canyon del Oro High School in Oro Valley.

UA’s all-time leading rusher just completed his second season with the Chicago Bears where he found the end zone three times this season while rushing for 159 yards in a reserve role behind veteran Matt Forte.

Forte is out of the Bears picture in 2016 as the club announced earlier this month they will not attempt to re-sign him.

As a result Carey is expected to compete for the starting spot with Jeremy Langford, Senorise Perry and whoever else the Bears decide to add in free agency or the upcoming draft.
