TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - This week's Tuesday Tail is Alice, a 6-year-old female Chihuahua-Dachshund mix who was taken to Pima Animal Care Center by her owner late last month because the owner was moving into assisted living.
Alice is leash trained and a great lap dog. She just likes to cuddle up on the couch with you. She doesn't require a lot of exercise because of her age and arthritis in her rear leg. Alice lived with another dog previously and her owner said she gets along with children and strangers.
Alice is a special needs adoption so her adoption fee is waived. Anyone wanting to take her home would have to pay a $16 license fee which will include her vaccinations and microchip. She has already been spayed so she is ready to go home as soon as possible.
An update on last week's Tuesday Tail, "Stanley" was adopted, and there are still many more shelter pets who need a home.
PACC has a March Madness adoption special this month so potential pet owners wearing University of Arizona gear can get half off the adoption fee. Otherwise all dogs and cats over 6 months will be $30 dollars and puppies/kittens will be $50.
Pima Animal Care Center is located at 4000 N Silverbell Rd in Tucson.
