TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Tucson Subaru, as part of Subaru's national "Share the Love" event, presented a $64,000 check to Youth On Their Own.
YOTO is a drop-out prevention program that supports the high school graduation of homeless, unaccompanied youth in the Greater Tucson region.
Last year, Tucson Subaru donated $38,000 to YOTO through Share the Love, which helped empower more than 270 homeless kids in Pima County to stay in school.
This year's donation could help 457 students stay in school and earn their high school diplomas.
Rocky DiChristofano, owner of Tucson Subaru, formally presented the check to Executive YOTO Director Teresa Liverzani-Baker and Development Coordinator Kristyn Conner on April 13.
