MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Speech/Language Pathologist at Quail Run Elementary School, Beth Gapp was recently awarded the Arizona Speech/Language and Hearing Association Moline Mentorship Award at the 56th Annual ArSHA Convention on April 29 - 30.

Gapp was nominated by the University of Arizona, past graduate students, as well as current and past clinical fellow. She has over 20 years of service and mentorship of graduate students in the speech pathology field, as well as being a mentor and leader for all Speech/Language Pathologists in the Marana Unified School District.

The award was named in honor of Marilyn Quintana Moline, and recognizes a current, active ArSHA member who exemplifies the qualities of a mentor.

"Defined as a wise and trusted counselor or teacher, especially in occupational settings, Marilyn typified this description, in her skills in clinical direction and supervision. As a mentor to many during her career, it is hoped that this award will honor both her memory and the tradition she established," according to a recent release from MUSD.
