TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Highway drivers can expect delays on a portion of I-10 Tuesday night, as Arizona Department of Transportation performs pavement work in midtown.

This will impact the westbound side of I-10 near the Prince Road traffic interchange. Two left lanes will close there from 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21 to 5 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22.

Crews will also reduce the speed limit here to 45 miles per hour.

The westbound I-10 frontage road and eastbound Prince Road near I-10 will also continue to see a right lane closure through August, according to an ADOT press release.

This work will involve large equipment on site and construction vehicles entering and exiting the road, so drivers should never follow trucks into construction areas.

This is all part of a drainage system installation project at I-10 and the Flowing Wells Wash.

Travelers must remember to share the road and slow down while traveling through this and any road work zone.
