ACTION DAY: Increased chance for rain through week

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Tucson News Now First Alert Weather Team has designated Wednesday, Aug. 22 as an Action Day because of the possibility for strong thunderstorms across southern Arizona.

There will be a higher-than-normal chance of rain all week though. Below is a break down of the forecast.

  • Tuesday, Aug. 21: 40 percent chance of rain with a high of 98 and low of 76.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 22: 50 percent chance of rain with a high of 94 and low of 75.
  • Thursday, Aug. 23: 40 percent chance of rain with a high of 94 and low of 75.
  • Friday, Aug. 24: 30 percent chance of rain with a high of 95 and low of 75.
  • Saturday, Aug. 25: 20 percent chance of rain with a high of 97 and low of 75.
  • Sunday, Aug. 26: 20 percent chance of rain with a high of 98 and low of 76.
