A 28-year-old Pima County man is facing a felony charge for posting disturbing and inappropriate messages directed toward minors, authorities said.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department said Alan Anthony Dallman was arrested Friday, Sept. 2.

"Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit began an in-depth investigation into the person behind the posts," the PCSD said in a news release. "With the assistance of the media and the community, detectives obtained evidence to arrest Dallman."

Dallman, who was arrested at his home in the 2700 block of West Dorado Circle, is facing a charge of furnishing harmful items to a minor.

The PCSD said the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
