TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A woman is in the hospital after a car crash early Friday, Sept. 9.

Northwest Fire District crews received a 911 call at 1 a.m. reporting a car had crashed into a wall at West Ina and North Thornydale roads, according to a press release.

When the first unit got to the scene, they found there had been a two-vehicle crash, causing one of those vehicles to hit the wall.

The woman was the only person in the vehicle that had hit the wall.

Crews used the "jaws of life" to remove her from the vehicle, and paramedics took her to the hospital.

The occupant of the second vehicle was uninjured.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
