TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A 13-year-old student has been arrested in relation to the lockdown at Coronado K-8 school on Friday, according to Ryan Inglett, spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

Coronado K-8, in the Amphitheater District was placed under a temporary lockdown around 10 a.m. Friday morning, authorities said, after a threat was found on a bathroom wall.

The lockdown was lifted around 11 a.m., according to Amy Sharpe of the Amphi school district. At no time were students or staff in danger, according to PCSD.

It was during the investigation of the incident that detectives learned the same student was responsible for a similar threat on Aug. 25, 2016, according to the PCSD release, which did not require a lockdown.

According to PCSD both threats were written in such a way to get a response from school administration as well as law enforcement.

The teen faces the following charges: hoax and interference/disruption of an educational institution, both are considered felonies.

Coronado K-8 is located at 3401 E. Wilds Road in Tucson.
