TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Local businesses in Tucson say they are fed up with drivers doing 'burnouts' down their street.

They say it’s happening on McMillan Street, near Romero and Prince Road. Business owners say the cars are peeling out of the parking lot of Ballistic Fabrication. They build parts for performance vehicles.

Tucson News Now spoke to a woman who works at a near-by business. She did not want to show her face on camera.

“They have almost T-Boned somebody that was coming the other direction. It’s very scary sometimes,” the woman said.

The business operates a Facebook page called Ballistic Burnout Diaries. It showcases video after video, of their stunts. It even states, “Come to Ballistic Fabrication with a burnout capable vehicle and you’re going to get harassed to do a burn out and post it here.”

When asked about whether the videos gave the wrong message about the business, Jeffery Bullock, owner of Ballistic Fabrication answered

“It potentially could. I would consider shutting it down, yes."

Bullock said he is the administrator of the Facebook page. He also stated that he's been in some of the videos, but that he doesn’t participate anymore.

“Oh absolutely. I’m sure there is,” Bullock said, in reply to whether or not he saw potential danger in customers burning out in front of the business.

Tucson News Now asked him what could be done to stop the burnouts.

“I could probably advise my customers to potentially not do that,” Bullock said. “I’ll consider it.”

But until the stunts stop, neighboring businesses fear it's only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt.

“I can replace a vehicle but I have friends that work in this neighborhood, if their life is taken. You can’t replace a person,” said one business owner.

The Tucson Police Department is looking into the burnouts.

TPD said if you’re caught burning out you could be arrested and face possible charges of exhibition of speed or reckless driving.
