TUCSON, AZ -

The University of Arizona women’s soccer team defeated the University of San Francisco on Sunday afternoon in Tucson, Ariz. by a score of 1-0. Arizona’s goal came from Hannah Stevens off a flip-throw from Jaden DeGracie-Bailey. The Wildcats outshot the Dons 13-5 and continued to prevent their opponent from generating scoring chances, which gave them their fourth-straight shutout.

“I think you have to give credit to winning both games,” said head coach Tony Amato. “We have four straight wins and four straight shut outs, so we are happy with that. I give all the girls a lot of credit for finding a way to win, but we know we have to get better moving forward.”

That ended the game for the Wildcats with a 1-0 victory. They are now at 5-1-1 on the season and are undefeated in their last six matches, including four-straight victories.

Arizona is back in action on Friday, Sep. 16 in Tucson, Ariz. to take on Oklahoma at 7:00 p.m. PST.
