TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Mountain View rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to beat Tucson 44-36 Friday night at Gridley Stadium.

What was an 11-point hole after the Lions had dug themselves a 13-point cavern to start the night.

In fact Mountain View (3-1) was down after the opening kickoff.

Tucson’s D.J. Hinton took that back 85 yards for a touchdown an immediate 7-0 Badgers lead.

Hinton scored a pair of first half touchdowns as the Badgers led 28-17 at the half.

Lions quarterback Caleb Ryden got Mountain View going with a touchdown pass to Isaiah Lovett right before the intermission and the Lions kept it going in the second half.

The Badgers (3-2) travel to Cienega next Friday night while the Mountain Lions host Poston Butte.
