UPDATE: Four in custody following midtown armed robbery

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Three men and one woman have been arrested following an armed robbery in midtown Tucson Friday night, authorities said.

Sgt. Pete Dugan, spokesman for the Tucson Police Department, said the robbery happened at the Cash America Super Pawn located at 3650 N. First Avenue.

Dugan said the University of Arizona Police Department assisted in securing the neighborhood.

    According to Sgt. Pete Dugan of the Tucson Police Department, police were called to the neighborhood near North First Avenue and East Fort Lowell Road for a report of suspicious activity after someone saw the man allegedly trying to possibly strip or steal a car.

    U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials in Arizona say its agents have arrested an American and a Mexican in two separate smuggling attempts that collectively resulted in the seizure of some 123 pounds (56 kilograms) of methamphetamine worth about $370,000.
