Overnight fire destroys vacant mobile home

AVRA VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) – An overnight fire swept through a vacant double-wide mobile home Saturday night in Avra Valley, completely destroying it.

The Avra Valley Fire District responded to a call that came in around 9 p.m. to the 16800 block of West Moore Road, just west of North Anway Road, according to a media release from the Avra Valley Fire District.

It took 40 minutes for 15 firefighters to extinguish the fire. The house is a total loss and damages are expected to be around $60,000. There were no injuries, according to AVFD..

The fire is being investigated by the Pima County Sheriff’s Office.
