Arizona women's soccer defeated in Seattle

TUCSON, AZ -

The University of Arizona women's soccer team was defeated by Washington on Sunday afternoon in Seattle, Wash. by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats are now 6-6-1 on the season with a 1-4 record in the Pac-12.

In the 7th minute, Arizona's Brynn Moga made a sliding tackle and was called for the foul inside the box. Washington's Shannon Simon scored off the free kick. 

Gabi Stoian scored for the Wildcats in the 59th minute, dribbling down the left side of the field and scoring near post. Stoian has four goals this season. 

Washington's Becca Schoales scored the winning goal for the Huskies in the 62nd minute off a cross from Pascale Dumesnil. 

Arizona is back in action on Thursday, Oct. 13 in Tucson, Ariz. to take on No. 10 UCLA at 7:00 p.m. PST on Pac-12 Networks.
