Tucson police investigating home invasion

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson police are investigating a home invasion that occurred in the 100 block of N. Desert Park Place late Tuesday night.

Sgt. Pete Dugan of the Tucson Police Department said police got a call from someone at the house just after 10 p.m.

The caller told police that three men, all armed with handguns, kicked in the front door.

The suspects were wearing masks, but the caller described them as two Hispanic men and one black man.

The victims told police that nothing was taken, but detectives later found "obvious evidence of narcotics."

They did not find enough evidence to charge anyone in the house, but they did arrest one man who was in the house on an outstanding felony warrant.

Police are now asking anyone who knows any information on the possible suspects to call 88-CRIME.

Callers can be anonymous.

“The concealment of narcotics inside the body is an extremely dangerous method often attempted by smugglers,” said John Schwamm, San Luis Port Director.  “It can be instantly fatal should the narcotics seep through the packaging and be absorbed into the body.”
