Tucson police serving search warrant at east side home with SWAT assist

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson police served a search warrant at a house in the 8900 block of East Desert Palm, near Camino Seco and Escalante on the east side on Thursday, Oct. 13.

SWAT assisted TPD officers, according to Sgt. Kim Bay, spokeswoman for the Tucson Police Department, as additional security due to the fact it was in connection with a suspect who was arrested for allegedly shooting a gun. Police didn'’t know whether there were guns in the house.

According to Sgt. Bay, there was a shooting that happened just before 10 a.m. Thursday in the 5900 block of South Park Avenue and the suspect is in custody. TPD officials are not certain if anyone was hit.

No further details were immediately available.
