Roadrunners ready to drop the puck

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

It all starts tonight for the Tucson Roadrunners.

The new AHL team will play its first game of the season on the road against the San Diego Gulls (Anaheim Ducks) at 7 p.m.

The Roadrunners are the Arizona Coyotes top minor league affiliate and relocated to the desert Southwest this season from Springfield, Massachusetts.

Friday marks the first of 12 meetings with the Gulls this season, the teams will play six games at each club’s respective home building.

Here’s the Roadrunners roster as it currently stands:
