Pima County deputies arrest suspect in double homicide

PIMA COUNTY, AZ ( Tucson News Now) -

Pima County deputies have arrested the suspect in a double homicide that occurred over the weekend. 

Raymond Manny Valencia, 49, was taken into custody on Sunday, Oct. 16 around 2 p.m., according to a media release from the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

He's been booked into the Pima County Jail for two counts of first-degree murder.

Valencia is suspected of shooting to death Carlos Rendon, 48, and Jackelyne Padilla, 18, just after 7 p.m. Saturday in the 5800 block of South Swinging A, near South Camino Verde and West Drexel Road.
