UPDATE: Police identify victim in fatal pedestrian collision

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson police have identified the woman who died Tuesday, Oct. 18 after being hit by a vehicle on Oracle Road near Prince Road. 

According to police, 34-year-old Eugenia Calnimptewa was taken to Banner-University Medical Center where she later died.

The crash was reported around 9:30 p.m.

All northbound lanes of Oracle were closed in the area for several hours.

Police say Calnimptewa was not in a crosswalk. 

The driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.

Speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

No citations were issued.
