Roadrunners ready for their Tucson welcome

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Tucson Roadrunners are set for their first two games at the Tucson Arena.

The Roadrunners (2-1) will host the Stockton Heat for a pair of games on Friday night and Sunday afternoon

Tucson beat Stockton last weekend 2-1 in overtime.

Defenseman Kyle Wood has a point in three straight games (1-5-6) to start the season.

Brendan Perlini has goals in back-to-back games, including the team’s first game-winning goal in the win over the Heat.

Tucson’s power play has started the season 4-for-14 (28.6%) which is good for a tie for fifth place in the AHL through the first two weeks of the season.

But the Roadrunners defensively killed all 11 penalties against them in winning both of their road games a week ago.
