Dawkins looks to balance out his offensive arsenal

Quarterback Brandon Dawkins returned to Arizona's starting lineup last Saturday after missing the USC game with an injury.

Dawkins rushed for 65 yards on 17 carries but struggled through the air completing just five-of-15 passes for 116 passing yards and a touchdown.

The sophomore has played in six games this season and is averaging 91.5 rushing yards per contest. That figure is third-best nationally by a quarterback behind Louisville's Lamar Jackson and South Florida's Quintin Flowers.

Dawkins is third in the Pac-12 overall at 91.5 yards rushing per game and has been especially dangerous on first down, where he's averaging 10 yards per carry.

He has had at least 44 rushing yards in each game this season.

On the passing side, Dawkins has completed 56% of his passes and is seventh in the Pac-12 in passing efficiency.
