TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Several University High School students got the chance to sit down one-on-one with veterans Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Eight veterans who served in World War II and the Korean War shared their stories of service as part of the "Veterans Heritage Project."

This is the second year the school has participated in this program.

This year, students focused on women who fought for the country.

Students will have their project displayed in the U.S. Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
