SIERRA VISTA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Everyone is invited to attend the first ever Holiday Celebration: Christmas Around the World, according to a release from the City of Sierra Vista, and the Commission on Cultural Diversity.

It takes place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 in Landmark Plaza (400 West Fry Boulevard).

Area residents can participate in the event by displaying or demonstrating their home country's holiday customs and traditions.  This new event expands the commission's annual Cultural Heritage Fair, by "showcasing the rich heritage of the many people from around the world, who now call Sierra Vista home," stated the release.

Local vendors will also be selling holiday crafts and food.

Those interested in participating in the event either as a vendor or representing your home country as an exhibitor, please contact Lee Alaban by phone (520) 458-7922 or via email  Lee.Elaban@SierraVistaAZ.gov.
