Cardinals Gameday: Washington Redskins

The Arizona Cardinals host the Washington Redskins Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium in a key NFC matchup in Week 13.

The Cardinals (4-6-1) have fallen in their last two games are a precariously holding on to whatever playoff hopes they have left.

Arizona has never lost three games under Bruce Arians.

In each of the last two weeks, the Redskins (6-4-1) have showcased their historically prolific offense on national stages.

After a 515-yard effort vs. Green Bay on Sunday Night Football in Week 11, the Redskins gained 505 yards on short rest on Thanksgiving Day at Dallas in Week 12, marking the first time the team had posted consecutive 500-yard performances in the franchise's 85-season history.

A repeat performance on Sunday would allow the Redskins to become the fourth team in NFL history to post three straight 500-yard performances, joining the 2010-11 New England Patriots (Week 17 in 2010, Weeks 1-2 in 2011), the 1998 San Francisco 49ers (Weeks 1-3) and the 1982 San Diego Chargers (Weeks 6-8).

Quarterback Kirk Cousins enters December following a red-hot month of November in which he averaged a league-best 362.0 yards per game and posted an 8:0 TD:INT ratio.

This will be the 122nd meeting in this all-time series that dates back to 1932. The Redskins lead 74-45-2.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:25 p.m. MT.
