TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Salpointe Catholic jumped out to a six-nothing lead on back-to-back three-pointers by sophomore star Majok Deng. He finished with 12 points.

The Lancers (9-2) never trailed on their way to a sixth straight victory, scoring all 18 of their first quarter points from behind the three-point line.

Saguaro (7-3) lost for a second straight game on the heels of a six-game win streak.

Sabercats star senior guard Jake Lieppert, who came in averaging 25 points a game, was held to just 13 by the Lancers.
