TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - For the second consecutive weekend, the Arizona Wildcats will take on an opponent on the road in a Saturday morning match-up.
UA (9-2) will take on the Texas A&M Aggies at 10 a.m. (MST) on Saturday in the Toyota Center.
The two teams will face off on the home court of the Houston Rockets in a nationally-televised ESPN2 broadcast. It's the first game of the Lone Star Shootout.
Texas and Arkansas play in the second game of the showcase.
Both UA and Texas A&M (7-2) come in winners of three in a row.
Arizona continues to be paced by the freshman trio of Lauri Markkanen (16 pts and 7 reb), Rawle Alkins (14 pts and 5 reb) and Kobi Simmons (12 pts).
Wildcats sophomore guard Allonzo Trier is expected to miss his 12th consecutive game for undisclosed reasons.
Both of the Aggies losses this season have come to Pac-12 teams. Texas A&M lost at home to USC and fell to UCLA in the Wooden Legacy Classic.
The Aggies are led by sophomore Tyler Davis who is averaging 15 points and eight rebounds on the season.
This will be the seventh meeting all-time between the two programs. The Wildcats lead the series six-to-one. The loss was in the last meeting back in 2008, a 67-66 defeat in College Station.
