Roadrunners end up with split in San Antonio after 4-2 loss

SAN ANTONIO, TX - Christian Fischer scored a goal and added an assist for the Tucson Roadrunners as they bowed 4-2 against the San Antonio Rampage Saturday night.

Fischer assisted on the opening goal scored by Garret Ross just :48 into the game.  The goal was the first of the season for Ross and moved the Roadrunners ahead quickly.

San Antonio would go on to score four in a row, two in the second period and two more in the third before Fischer added a late marker for the 4-2 final.

Tucson earns the split on the road after winning in overtime on Friday night behind Fischer's hat trick.

The Roadrunners host the Bakersfield Condors at Tucson Arena this Tuesday and Wednesday night.


  • Fischer now has a three-game goal scoring streak, totaling five over that stretch.
  • Jamie McBain returned to the lineup after a one-game absence.
  • Kyle Wood has a three-game point scoring streak in progress (2-2-4)
  • The Roadrunners went 0-for-3 Saturday night on the power play while the Rampage finished the evening 1-for-4.
