TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The adorable shelter dog that became famous for his acting skills has finally been adopted.

"Shamu" was adopted at Pima Animal Care Center on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

Shamu was known for playing dead whenever he had to go back inside his kennel.

Volunteers say they had to carry him back inside, every single time.

The move even inspired a PACC volunteer to make a video...

But as of Tuesday, Shamu won't have to worry about shelter life anymore.

Pima Animal Care Center shared photos of Shamu and his new mom Tuesday on Facebook.

Volunteers say he tried to play his favorite trick, but they made sure he kept his feet on the ground.

Good luck, Shamu!
