Carr Canyon Road, campgrounds reopen for season

SIERRA VISTA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Looking to go camping in the Cochise County area this weekend?  Several locations have reopened for the season, according to the Coronado National Forest, Sierra Vista Ranger District.  

Upper Carr Canyon (Forest Road 386), as well as Ramsey Vista and Reef Townsite campgrounds have reopened.  

According to the National Forest Service, the seasonal closures are put in place for public safety.  Hazardous conditions like snow and ice on the roads can lead to difficult traveling and could possibly result in accidents or vehicles becoming stranded.
